Weekly Letter

Hello every one!! I hope you all had a good Easter!

Ok so this week was really good, we got a whole bunch of work done and
we saw a lot of success in our area.

This week like usual we did a lot of finding and street contacting so
that we can show the new initiative about Easter to as many people as
possible and a lot of people actually stopped and listened to what we
had to say, obviously most of them didn't want to learn anymore after
that encounter but the seed was planted.

While tracting this week we got 8 NEW investigators that's way
awesome!! I'm really excited to start working with them, they seemed
pretty legit the first time we talked with them. We already had a good
lesson with this one lady who we found this week, she seemed really
interested in learning more after we taught the restoration.

On Saturdsay we went out tracting and we brought the bishops son along
with us, his name is Eduardo and he's is about to go on a mission soon
as well when he gets his papers in. Anyways we let him choose the
building of where we were gonna go tracting and so we get into the
building and go to the top, (we usually tract from top to bottom) and
we start knocking doors and we actually found 2 new investigators on
the first 3 floors, so we get to the 2nd floor and we walk down the
hall and this guy come out of the room and then we hear a whole bunch
of screaming and yelling and I was like "what the heck is going on?"
and then like 5 seconds later a super loud BANG! and as soon as that
happened I turned around to see where my companion was and he was
already half way down the hallway so I booked it as fast as I could
out of the building and ran like 3 blocks non stop. It totally sounded
like a gunshot so we're probably gonna give that building a break for
right now. It was kinda exciting and adrenaline pumping but we told
Eduardo not to tell his dad because he would probably not let him come
with us again haha.

We're still working with Gustavo and are planning to set a new
baptismal date and hopefully clear some thing up so that this time he
is actually ready to be baptized. Also his parents are getting married
on the 16 of this month so that's exciting, it will be a big and a
good change in their lives.

Recently I have been reading some conference talks just go get ready
for this conference this weekend and one that comes to my mind right
now is the one by President Eyring called "the Holy Ghost as your
companion" I just like that talk because of his 2 stories about his
father and also because it's super imports in to be worthy of the
spirit so that we can always have it with us. He gives a really cool
promise during his talk that basically says if we have the spirit with
us we “will never lack for knowledge” of the truth, “never be in doubt
or in darkness,” and our “faith will be strong, our joy … full.”

As we are worthy of the spirit we will receive promptings to help us
and as we act on those promptings we will receive more promptings. I
know that God loves us and we can feel his love through the Holy
Ghost.

I hope you all have a good week and learn something awesome this
weekend from conference.

Love,

Elder Pugmire
