🐔=😵

It has been a whole week since I got here and so far this place is
really awesome, on Sunday we had ward conference so we had some people
from the stake come and teach us, they also made me and the new sister
stand up so they can know what the new missionaries look like.
Sacrament meeting is a little different here because theres English
and Spanish members mixed so somebody has to translate for the Spanish
people. I know that the missionaries have translated before but I hope
that I never have to do it because it's super hard to do that😬.
Sunday school class was really good,a guy from the stake taught it, he
talked about the tree of life and the different groups, after that we
had to go to primary because elder Hinkley plays the piano and they
needed somebody to play. After church we had a linger longer where we
just eat a whole bunch of food, it was super good.

As for the work we have a few investigators that we visit pretty
regularly but we only have one with a baptismal date, his name is Jair
and he is 11 years old and he really likes the church but his mom not
so much, but we have a date for him sometime in July, it's pretty far
in the future and he picked it but we are gonna keep working with him
because we know he can get baptized way earlier then that.

We do have a few less active families that we visit and try and get
them to church, so far most of them said that they will try to come
this next Sunday so I guess we'll see if they do or not.

These past couple of days we have been having some good success
finding Spanish people and so far we have 2 new investigators that
seem interested in learning more.

In this area we do a lot of service and stuff like that, but we do
this one service where we go down to the basement of a court house and
they have all these old records of people and a whole bunch of papers
and we help out the senior sisters to unfold them so that they can
take pictures of the papers and use them for indexing, so thats pretty
cool, some of those papers are really really old and there's some
pretty cool stuff down there.

Also another service we do is every Saturday we go down to the
Phillips family farm and they are planning to move pretty soon and
they have a whole bunch of ducks and chickens🐓so we get to cut off
their heads and skin them so that later next week she cooks them so
that we could eat it. It was interesting to see how they do it, the
cutting of the head is pretty easy but the skinning of the duck is
actually harder then it looks.

That's pretty much it for this week, the work here is actually pretty
slow we usually get like a lesson or 2 lessons a day if we are lucky.

Have a good week🙂

Love,
Elder Pugmire🐶
