Hola a todos,
We had a good week. We started out by going to the temple with our
roommates and that was really fun and spiritual, it's been a while
since I went to the temple, during the session there were other elder
and sisters that went and one of the companionship was the sign
language missionaries and one of them was deaf so they had a thing in
sign language and that was also pretty cool to see. After the temple
we went and explored down in Manhattan, that was also really fun.
So the title is pretty self explanatory, we were suppose to have a
baptism, Amado was gonna get baptized last Saturday but last second
they went out of town and weren't able to be baptized on Saturday and
they didn't come to church either so we pushed the baptism for this
weekend, so we are gonna have 2 baptisms this weekend Amado and
Jeyuri, they are both really awesome 12 year old kids and have a
desire to follow Jesus, they will be great members and examples to
their families especially Jeyuri because he will be the only member in
his family, but the other are learning.
So we are pretty excited for these 2 baptisms this Saturday it should
be awesome.
Last night we got 3 new investigators, they are also kids one of them
is 15 or 16 tho so she's not that young but the other are pretty
young, they are foster kids form El Salvador that live with Less
active member and we were able to share the restoration with them and
gave them all a Book of Mormon and invited them to read the first
chapter, the oldest girl (Rosa) said that she really likes reading and
asked if she can read on past chapter 1 we said of course, she then
said that she will read the whole Book of Mormon in a week because we
can only meet them on Sundays, I'm not gonna lie I do have a hard time
believing that she will actually do that in 7 days but I know that it
has been done before and if she actually does that it will be crazy
but super awesome jaja, I hope she does it! Also we working with these
kids gives us a perfect opportunity to work with the less active
member as well.
Also we celebrated elder santibanez birthday on the 4th so happy
birthday to him and everybody else in the family who had or will have
one this and last week.
Con amor,
Elder Pugmire
