Happy New Year!!๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Last Week with Jay
It's crazy how it's almost 2016๐Ÿ˜ฎ this year has gone by pretty fast.

I don't really have much for this week just that I had a awesome
Christmas but other then that everything has been pretty much the same
except a few things.

We got 2 new awesome investigators. One of them is a sister of the 2nd
councilor in our ward Aileen and she has been taught all the lessons
before but didn't want to get baptized, but recently she has decided
to start listening to the missionaries again and we had a awesome
first lesson with her. We had her brother with us as a member present
and he shared some awesome personal experiences and bore a really good
testimony and we also bore our testimonies to add to his.

The second part was that we were knocking some doors not having too
much success and we finally got a lady to open a door for us and she
said she didn't have time right now but that we could come back the
next day. We felt like she didn't have much potential but we still put
her in the schedule and headed back home because it was getting late.
The next day we had a really good impression to go and visit this one
lady and when we got to her apartment she didn't answer the door, so
we decided to finish tracting the building and nobody was interested
and we finally knocked on the last door in the building and waited for
somebody but nobody answered so we started to leave and we walked down
the stairs. We stopped to look at the map for a second to see where we
were going to go next and like 5 minutes later this last door opens up
and this lady and her son comes out and they sees us and she starts
talking to us, so we walked back up the stairs pretty surprised, in my
head I was saying "what the heck somebody actually wants to talk to
us." This lady actually has some members in her family and her son
received a baby blessing in the LDS church down in Utah but then she
moved to New York and was looking for the church but could not find
it. She was pretty excited and wanted us to come in and teach her but
we couldn't because her husband was gone and there was not another
man, so we rescheduled and we are gonna have a lesson with her
tonight.

We finally had some success this week and it is awesome to actually do
something else besides just knocking doors, although knocking doors
and persistently going after it is what's gonna make success happen.
As long as we try our best then the Lord will take care of the rest
and good things will come not necessarily when we want them to and
sometimes not even in this life time but good things always come if we
put our trust in God, there's actually a really good Mormon message by
Elder Holland on that called Good Things to Come it's only 5 minutes
you should go and watch it.

Love,
Elder Pugmire
